Home – Local Leadership in Response & Recovery
When disasters strike, all response and recovery begins AND ENDS at the local level.
Fire chiefs and EMS managers are the first to act, the last to leave, and the constant leadership presence throughout a disaster. While state and federal resources may support operations, local authorities carry full responsibility during the critical first hours and days, when lives, infrastructure, and public trust are most at risk.
This training program prepares local emergency service leaders to lead confidently through initial response and long-term recovery, using the resources, relationships, and authority they already possess.
This course provides a practical, leadership-focused approach to emergency management, emphasizing that early decisions shape outcomes long after the incident scene is cleared. Participants will gain tools to strengthen preparedness, manage complex incidents, and position their communities for successful recovery.
